**General Description**
Samsung Austin Semiconductor (SAS) is growing and we are hiring Industrial/Organizational Psychologist to work on-site in Austin, TX. This is an opportunity to evaluate and implement best practices in the organization. Within SAS you will work alongside engineers and highly technical professionals. You'll be able to apply your research skills by helping with projects enhancing solutions concerned with organizational development and transformation, evaluation services, strategic workforce planning. Key Responsibilities: - Use psychological principles and research methods to solve problems in the workplace, improve the work environment, and influence organizational changes and processes. - Use data to study workplace productivity and management and employee working styles. - Use data to study and understand what makes a potential hire successful through the interview process and once they are working in the organization. - Critically analyze data output, translate research findings into narrative descriptions, and appropriately communicate recommendations for action - Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis
**Necessary Skills / Attributes**
* Masters in Industrial/Organizational (I/O) Psychology, Research Psychology, Social Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, or other related field required - Demonstrated performance designing assessment and evaluation efforts that analyze human performance and lead to recommendations for workforce development or program improvement - At least 6 years of demonstrated education & work experience with applied research methodologies and statistical data analyses, assessment development and validation - Strong understanding of validity/reliability in assessment. - Strong quantitative, analytical, and psychometric abilities - Proficiency in at least one statistical analysis software (SPSS, R, etc.) - Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) - Experience designing strategies and approaches for identifying, analyzing, and enhancing human performance.
